The Government of Ontario has release a specific guideline for the reopening of Summer DAY camps which we are eager to abide to and bring you all a summer of fun, creativity and expression.... though it may look slightly different.
HUB has been hard at work preparing for theatre camps that abide by the rules and regulations put in place by the government and as always, we are dedicated to the health and safety of our campers and staff. HUB Summer theatre camps WILL run as planned, but with camper caps in place, designated instruction areas with cohorts of 8 or less as well as a professionally edited digital copy of the show rather than a live production.
Because of the unique nature of our camps, we feel especially prepared and ready to meet the health and safety requirements and give campers the chance to safely step on stage this summer.
The following is HUB's implemented protocols and procedures, they include but are not limited to: - Diligent cleaning of all areas - new pickup/ drop off procedures including designate drop off zone and times -Diligent screening - Frequent mandatory hand washing for all campers and staff -physical distance on-stage "places" for campers ( each performer will have their own dance spot which is something we do in our choreography naturally) - visual cues and information in all theatre areas -staggered lunchtimes and outdoor play - virtual staff/parent communication -camps will be limited to numbers that allow for social distancing on stage and in theatre space -staff will have individual masks at their disposal for any close necessary camper contact (injury or accident) - cohort designated props with diligent cleaning between use -individual costumes, washed and not shared - mandatory personal items such as sunscreen, hats, snacks and water (no sharing) -staggered bathroom breaks - singing majority done outdoors -daily records kept -daily screening procedures -symptom monitoring
