Performance in the Classroom: Professional Development
Performance in the Classroom-
Our Performance in the Classroom (Professional Development) workshops are designed specifically to support teachers in delivering drama and arts curriculum in connection with the themes and work already present in their classrooms. We hope to work closely with our community educators to encourage elements of drama in their everyday teachings in ways that enhance students' understanding of challenging topics and themes.
We hope to engage a diversity of adult champions in arts education within the Muskoka community.
Our Professional Development courses offer a wide variety classroom resources designed to support educators -specifically through our workshops for teachers. These sessions, taught by professionals working in the performance field, are suited to fit the needs of your staff and cover a wide range of topics speech and voice application, introductory drama teaching strategies, improv, problem solving and using drama to facilitate English language learning. They can take place here at the theatre, at your school or at a conference.
