“The Voice: The Descendants” is a 1 hour performance and vocal class geared for students looking to build basic voice and stage technique in an encouraging, fun environment. Fall term 2021 will be dedicated to music and movement from the Hit Musical :The Descendants!
Students will work together on 4-6 songs this term, learning vocal strategies, part singing, harmonies, basic music theory, ear training, warm up techniques and simple choreography to create an overall musical performance of The Descendants favourites!

COVID HEALTH AND SAFETY MODIFICATIONS
- Classes will be kept to a limited 40% capacity number to allow for physical distancing on stage and in the theatre. Please register soon to avoid disappointment
- Students will be asked to wear their mask until in place on stage at their designated "Rehearsal position"marked clearly on the stage, at which time they may remove for the remainder of class
- During rehearsal times, students will be given their dance spaces (marked on stage) that are 2 meters apart from their fellow cast members
- Drop off and pick up will happen at the FRONT of the Rene M. Caisse Building via the loading door. Students/guardians who are late will have to call or text to alert drop off and to be met by staff
- Students arriving at camp each day will be screened, including temperature recording, symptom questionnaire.
- The occurrence of LIVE shows will be decided depending on ever-changing provincial guidelines and with discussions with the theatre. We hope to welcome socially distanced audience for a showcase on November 24th. That said, all students will go home with a digital recording of their show to watch at home with family and friends!
